About Us

Location

Our address is 700 First Street. We are located at the corner of First and Vine Streets, just northwest of downtown Hudson. From I-94 (east or westbound), take the Highway 35 North exit (exit 1). Continue north on Highway 35 (Second Street) through downtown until reaching Vine Street. Turn left on Vine and we are at the bottom of the hill on the right side.

Parking

Available on First Street, Vine Street, the parking lot on the east side of the building, and the Lakefront Park parking lot on the southwest corner of First and Vine.

Handicap Accessibility

You will find accessible spaces in the parking lot on the east side of the building.

Copier

We have two self-service copiers. Letter, legal and ledger (11x17) size copies are 10 cents each and color copies (letter and legal only) are 50 cents each.

Local History Room

The History Room is staffed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am - 4 pm by Nancy Hawkinson, an Historical Society volunteer. Patrons who would like assistance in the History Room are advised to come when Nancy is there.

The room is available to patrons during regular library hours. However, it is locked when it’s not staffed.  Patrons who wish to use the room when it’s not staffed may sign-in with a valid ID at an information desk on the second floor.

Tax Forms

The Library carries tax forms during the months of January-April. The remainder of the year you may download forms from the Internet.

Computer / Internet Access

We have 20 computers for public Internet access (one is in the children's area for use by parents and one is in the Teen room). The Internet computers require a MORE library card to logon and may be used 1 hour per day with an additional hour if computers are available. Microsoft Office Professional 2010 or 2007 is installed on all computers. Black and white printing is 10 cents per page, color is 50 cents per page. Free WiFi is available on both floors.
