Summer Reading Events

Grade School Summer Reading

Registered participants will read books and track their time in a Reading Log. Children will receive a reward once per week by reading at least 2 hours weekly.

Preteen and Teen Summer Reading

Sponsored by the Teen Advisory Board

  • Register and get a Reading Log at the library.
  • From June 13 - August 31, keep track of the hours you read.
  • Bring in your reading log, receive your rewards and enter the Grand Prize drawing!!!

Early Literacy Summer Reading

summer readingThe early literacy summer reading program begins Tuesday, June 17.  You may register any time after that date. Reading and doing a few activities with your child to encourage future reading is all that is required. Reading incentives are given weekly.

register onlineStill Using Grandma’s Canning Recipes? / August 6 from 6:00 - 7:45 p.m.

An up-to-date canning & preserving class presented by the UW Extension. Join us to learn why old recipes are no longer considered safe and receive information on updated recipes and methods for canning and preserving to keep your family and friends healthy. Topics will include: which food need pressure canning, why acid needs to be added to tomatoes and tomato products, and why experimenting with salsa recipes can be harmful and what to do instead.

Seating limited to 30. Registration is required so please sign-up at the Circulation Desk, call the Library at 715-386-3101, or register online.
